Rob Popejoy our Youth Worker recently did a full presentation on the range of his work now after developing it over 18 months at Ascension. From the Thursday and Friday night clubs in The Crypt, through discipleship work with individuals, to involvement in mentoring work at Culverhay school. Oh and did I mention the football?
I should I mention the football! This season some of the lads from here joined a new team in a churches league in Bristol. They came top of their entry league in the 1st year. Rob said, what a shame the season isn’t longer!
And that’s not to forget ‘The Gathering’ – the growing monthly shared youth fun and worship event (see separate piece). Rob still needs volunteers, so if you want to get on down with the youff (you can tell the writer’s age!), contact Rob.
