vision

We have been growing a fresh vision of what God might be calling us to be and do, what to change. Since 2006 we have been looking at:

• Being together
• Learning & Growing together
• Going Out together

What might that mean?

Being Together

• is about our worship – what it means to ‘be together’ and worship the Holy God.
• we often have ‘teaching’ series e.g. on The Sermon on the Mount, ethical issues, family life – we want people to have the tools to live as Christians
• the best way is to come and see!!

Learning & Growing together

• our Cell Group network (6 groups) aims to provide support, friendship and encouragement. We encourage being part of a Cell Group as a normal thing for any Christian wanting to learn and grow.
• The Cell Group leaders also meet regularly with the Robert & Margaret for encouragement, envisioning – and just fun!
• our Children’s Church leaders and helpers work closely together as a team aiming to help children from 3 upwards include Jesus Christ in their lives
• our Young People work closely with our Youth Leader on their own programme to grow

Going Out together

• It is vital we are in real life contact with everyday people and the stuff we are all dealing with, influencing things with the message of Christ’s love
• we continue to take part in the Alpha Course and other groups ‘to ask questions’ about faith, God, Jesus etc.
• we take part in community action initiatives e.g. through the National Hope08 scheme (skips, DIY & kids party in the park) and are continuing with a programe called ‘Faith in Action’ where we try to help individual needs
• we have quite a few community groups use our premise

We want to grow in faith, hope and love, and to see our church here grow as people find space to discover God’s love for them. As our notice boards say…
