‘Ascension Gateway’ – our Church Hall was modernized during 2016/17 and Reopened 5th September 2016 and is available for community use. Well equipped kitchen. Capacity 80
Pastoral Visitors Team – We have a small group trained and licensed for home visiting, prayer support and general care of anyone in need in our Church & community- we meet 6 weekly to support each other
Prayer Ministry Team – Similarly we have those trained to pray with people during worship, or at other times. Some are also on the Pastoral Visiting Team
Ascension Knitting Group – a chance to get together and knit for charity, plus of course chat and refreshments. At present oversubscribed, they meet 10 am – 12 noon 1st Wednesdays and 3rd Mondays.
Tea & Chat & Games – another chance to get together with others for friendship and support. The group is currently having a break – Elizabeth Bright hopes to confirm a return date soon.
Marriage Preparation – we’ve done this in previous years and couples have found it a great preparation for their wedding, and personal time to talk about the things that matter – it is set up so each couple gets personal space after the input sessions.
We can accommodate up to 4 couples. You do not have to come to Ascension Church or indeed any Church! The course is Christian based in its values and each session ends with a moment from the Bible but many couples have found it helpful in the general subjects it covers.
Do contact us for an informal chat if you want either via the contact page of our web-site or direct to 01225 405354.
