Communion Worship at St Barnabas Southdown with Ashing 7.30 pm An act of shared worship with St Barnabas, ourselves, and St Michael’s Twerton.
starting 8th March 7.30 pm for 5 Wednesday evenings in Lent. We haven’t had a shared course in a while, and everyone is invited to take this time aside. Here is a brief course description: ‘A chance encounter with Rembrandt’s painting, The Return of the Prodigal Son, catapulted the Belgian pastor Henri Nouwen into a long spiritual adventure. His deep personal meditations reflect on the meaning of this parable for our own lives. The course explores our reaction to the story through the younger son’s leaving and return, the father’s restoration of son-ship, the elder son’s resentment and the father s compassion.’
