Pray for each other – Vicar’s weekly thought

Pray for us at Lee Abbey, as we who are there will pray for you! I have been praying that this time we are at Lee Abbey will be a time of gentleness, of restoration in different ways for different people, for knowing the tenderness, the compassion of our Father in heaven, who gave the life of His Son for us, and longs to fill us with His Holy Spirit. Pray for the 50 or so of us at Lee Abbey this weekend – for those from the Community leading, offering prayer and support, giving hospitality. And of course for travel, and for there to be nothing to hinder people being there.

And we will pray for you back here, some at weddings, some on school re-unions, some meeting up with old friends or family events, some with birthday celebrations. We’ll pray for you as you come together to worship our Lord on Sunday with Rev Caroline O’Neill ministering, Paul Bright leading the music, and others offering ministries of prayer and reading the Word. May you know the Lord’s love and compassion towards you too, and find he knows and answers some of your needs too.

This is what we do as Christians for each other and the people said, “Amen! Amen!”
